I became a 29 yr old rookie infielder with the White Sox in '78.  I was the Sox SS in Disco Demolition.  I was the SS in La Russa's first MLB win as a manager in '79.  I lockered next to Brett in the Pine Tar game. The Rangers said that my tools were AAA at best and I ended up getting a World Series ring in '85 with the Royals.
